Who writes Left This World
Articles on leftthis.world are produced by an in-house editorial group of writers and reviewers, not single bylined authors. We publish under the collective name The Left This World Editorial Team because guidance about death, funerals, and remembrance benefits from more than one perspective.
Every article is drafted by a writer with relevant subject knowledge, then reviewed by at least one other editor before publishing. Pieces touching on legal or administrative steps (registering a death, probate, funeral arrangements) are cross-checked against the most recent official guidance for the country in question — UK, Ireland, or US — before they go live.
Researched, not regurgitated
We work from primary sources: official government guidance, bereavement charities, hospice and funeral-industry organisations, and direct conversations with families using the platform.
Reviewed before publishing
Every article is reviewed by a second editor for accuracy, tone, and clarity. Articles touching on legal or medical topics are checked against current official sources.
Reviewed on a schedule
Guidance pieces are revisited at least once a year. The “Updated” date on the article reflects the most recent substantive review.
